The project included open air structure for vintage aircraft with curved canopy roof for protection from weather. Roof system comprised of exposed curved steel deck with hidden fasteners transferring diaphragm lateral loads to curved structural steel barrel trusses. The steel trusses were elegantly proportioned per architectural requirements with welded hollow structural steel. The trusses are supported on architecturally reinforced concrete columns. The canopy is designed for wind speed per Florida Building Code.
