Summary of work performed:
This project involves the construction of a bridge over the Big Carlos Pass in Lee County. A new 14 span bridge is being constructed South of the existing bridge. HighSpans acted as the CEI firm and the Dynamic Testing Engineer and performed pile driving inspection services for the twenty-four-inch spliced prestressed concrete piles supporting the piers and end bents. This project included a total of 329 prestressed concrete piles. Dynamic Load Testing (PDA) was performed on selected test piles. With the PDA test data authorized pile lengths and driving criteria were provided to the contractor.
