HighSpans Engineering was Engineer of Record for the 1,000-ft twin bridges of the SR739 Metro Parkway extension project over Alico Road and Seminole Gulf Railroad.  The bridge consists of Florida-I Beams span lengths of up to 153-ft, post-tensioned hammerhead bent caps, and driven pile foundations.  Design challenges included working over the railroad, mass concrete, coordination with high voltage FPL Distribution lines.  Deliverables included bridge design and plans, load rating, temporary shoring post tensioning calculations, construction inspection services and documentation.
