Imperial River Bridge Widening – Bonita Springs, Redevelopment Initiative

Role:

Widening of Old US-41 Bridge over Imperial River and Bridge Culvert at Oak Creek. Bridge is a 4-span prestressed double-T’s with transverse posttensioning bars, supported on PCPS piles over navigable waterway.  Production details included superstructure beam design, superstructure plan, deck details, post-tensioning protection details, end bent details, intermediate bent details, foundation layout, sheet pile wall layout and details, architectural railing details and traffic railing details. Project objectives include promoting economic development, streetscape, and open views from the bridge to the river. Major bridge features include transverse post-tensioning and over navigable water.
