Summary of work performed:
HighSpans is the Engineer of Record for the pedestrian bridge along the water front and the variety of seawall types used in the Downtown Fort Myers Riverfront Basin. These include cantilevered sheet pile walls, tie-back walls, and soldier pile walls. Also, HEI provided design for the deep pile foundation for precast counterfort wall that provided an economical solution to span Edwards Drive over the basin with a “bridge”. Deliverables included plans, calculations and as-built record drawings, which included modifications during construction.
