The new six-lane Metro Parkway Extension, that runs from Six Mile Cypress Parkway to U.S. 41, opened to traffic on October 21, 2012. The SR739 Bridge over Alico Road (Mike Rippe Parkway) was designed by HighSpans Engineering, Inc. HighSpans also provided contractor quality control (CQC) throughout the duration of the project. There was a formal dedication ceremony on November 8, 2012.
The Bonita Beach Road Phase II widening project by Lee County and the City of Bonita Springs was completed the summer of 2013. HighSpans provided construction engineering and inspection services for this successful project.
HighSpans was recognized by the FTBA as one of 2010’s Statewide “Best in Construction” for the I-75 Design-Build-Finance, iROX project, where it was responsible for the CEI and Bridge Design coordination for all 24 bridges and 324,000 tons of asphalt plant production along the 30-miles in Lee and Collier Counties.

Structural Design Unit:
HighSpans Engineers have provided design for steel and concrete structures for low- and high-level fixed spans, including post-tensioned segmental, steel plate girder, steel box girder, pre-stressed girder and slab bridges. Miscellaneous structure design has included MSE walls, sheet pile walls, signals and sign structures and foundation design. Other structural engineering services include water control and airport structures.
